UNIT SUMMARY
In this unit, students will learn about the physical and political make up of Spain. They will study the government of Spain as a whole and as separate regions by looking at the Autonomous Communities and the Statute of Autonomy. They will be able to identify the provinces and capitals of each region and locate them on a map. They will look in more detail at the municipalities of Madrid.
Students will learn the important rivers and mountains of Spain and identify the coastlines and watersheds. They will learn about different types of river according to the area they flow through. Finally, students will devise a quiz to revise and test their knowledge of the unit.
